Has anyone used something like this for nighttime sleeps?

My five-week-old is absolutely dreadful at night. We are bedsharing most of the night but still waking many, many times and often not even sleeping for even and hour stretch. Baby is super fidgety when asleep so this is also severely limiting how much sleep I get, even when baby does sleep a while. I do know this is lack of sleep is perfectly normal at this age, but I am fast approaching breaking point. I have a toddler DC so time to rest during the day is non-existent.

During the day baby sleeps relatively well in the pram, or sling, or in bouncy chair... all of which have a degree of motion. Hence wondering if a lie flat crib that rocks itself might help me to get more sleep at night? But I'm not aware of these being used at night generally, so unsure if it's safe or if it might create a reliance on motion long term?

Any experience would be appreciated.

Just to add - baby doesn't like being swaddled and fights to get arms out. Also we have a sleepyhead and it yields mixed and limited results. Won't take a dummy.

Why not? Whatever gets you through those first weeks (always stating safe of course). But you will have to stop using it at some point!
My baby slept swaddled in her bouncer until almost 5 months old, then we just decided to bite the bullet, unswaddled her and transferred her to her cot. It was a bit rough for all involved!

I think with newborns then anything goes! But after 12 weeks, I'd start gradually trying to use it less.

I found this on an American YouTube video which they can sleep in overnight but I'm wondering the same too am I setting myself up for long term problems for a short term fix? If I can only use it up to 12 weeks of age then I've only got six weeks left

I too are struggling with sleep at night with her
