Hello ladies

I ebf my lovely little boy he's 10 weeks old

Is there any of you lovely mummies have any tips on how I can get my little one go longer for feeds at the night time past week for a few nights he's gone 5 hours at first then feeds but after them first five hours he'll only go 3/4 hours and then wake up and won't settle back down unless I take him down stairs and put him in his swing after another feed which at 4/5 in the morning isn't really ideal

Just hoping someone could give me a few tips please

How old was your baby when you did controlled crying?

Moving to own room....health visitor (was years ago). Controlled crying a friend who had been through it.

I have a friend who swears by weetabix in the bottle to get them to sleep through. From weeks old. Her aunt gave her this advice because it also worked for her.

While I did raise an eyebrow and suggest she asked her HV about it? It’s ultimately her baby.

If she started handing it out as “advice” on forums and to other mums, i absolutely would pull her up on it.

Same with your advice for own room and cc before 6m. It is now recognised to contribute toward cot death, in the case of own room, at least.

Research is constant. The above is now well established as outdated advice.

This is why i always recommend people do their own research. The availability of the internet means we don’t have to rely on anecdotes and “what we always did”.

Wow! I am so impressed. My ten month old woke up 7 times last night, once for an hour and a half.

Just have a lie down and read if he sleeps in the day and you can’t sleep, it will help anyway.

What is the Teddy please?

@MummySharkBabyShark

Posted to early and I do try to just relax but we don't have our own house we live with my partners mum and brother so there's always people coming in and out the house it's hard to sleep or to just relax throughout the day!! Especially when his brother doesn't work and his friends are coming and going all day!

Thanks for the recommendation, I will look into it.

Your living situation sounds like it would be hard to relax. Hope you get some downtime soon.

Congrats on your new born
