Screaming 2 week old

My DD is 2wks and 2 days old, before she turned 2wks her sleep was ok and I had no problem getting her to sleep. Now she is just screaming every time I put her down, I'm really struggling on what to do because she won't stop screaming unless I put her dummy in and she's wrapped in my arms. What do I do? I thought maybe it was colic because it would start every dinner time but the colic drops aren't helping or are helping for like 20 mins and she starts up again!
I need advice on what to do with her when she is screaming because I need my sleep and obviously so does she but nothing is easing her..

We had this problem with my DD the first few weeks. It turned out to be trapped wind with her and she was very uncomfortable. We changed the type of bottle we use and I started giving her tummy massages and that helped loads!

How is she napping? Is she sleeping regularly during the day? My DD also gets like that if she is overtired, she gets so tired she then can’t switch off!

Hi, have you tried swaddling? At 2 weeks I think it’s very normal for babies sleep to be scattered. How much sleep is she getting? & when you say the screaming starts at dinner time do you mean she starts after every feed or just a certain time of day?

May be totally unrelated but your experience sounds similar to mine so I really wanted to share.
when my DD was around 3 weeks old she turned very clingy, hated to be put down, screamed after every bottle and wouldn’t sleep for longer than 20 mins at a time. At 5 weeks she was diagnosed with a cows milk allergy which was causing her terrible tummy ache hence the clinginess screaming and disrupted sleep! Not saying your DD has a milk allergy but it might be something to consider if it coincides with her feeds and doesn’t get any better over the coming weeks (our daughters nappies also gave it away too). Switched her on to a prescription milk and within 3 days she was sleeping as normal again and we’ve had no problems since. She’s now 11 months and still on her prescription milk

If you’re really struggling have a chat with your health visitor, that’s what they’re here for Smile Good luck mama!

She sleeps often in the day, after every feed but not as much as she was sleeping (I just thought that might of been because she was a week old and knackered). She starts crying at the same time every day, at around 5/6pm when we're just about to have our dinner without fail.. she's on SMA easy to digest formula milk as she struggled to latch on to my breasts (I am pumping occasionally so she gets something) and had terrible wind in her first week when she was on SMA first infant pro milk. I don't know whether she's becoming to reliant on me to send her to sleep so I should self soothe her but I didn't think I needed to self soothe a 2 week old.. I'm a first time single mum so this is all very new and confusing to me, hope I don't sound mad!

I know it’s hard OP but this is standard/normal newborn behaviour. Untill 2 weeks ago she was safe and snuggly inside you and now she’s trying to adjust to the outside world. It’s normal for newborns to need to be close to mum/dad to feel secure. DS was exactly the same after around about the 2 week mark. It was like he came out of the fresh newborn sleepy phase. Wouldn’t sleep unless held. What helped was swaddling and using a wrap sling. I’d say he was unsettled untill about 15 weeks when it literally stopped overnight.
