I don’t know if this will sound silly.

We are home now after baby being in special care for 7 days so his start wasn’t th best but he was always going to be okay - infection as my waters broke but I didn’t Labour.

Anyway now we are home when he goes to sleep he still gurgles and stirs for a bit and I’m not sure if I’m meant to leave him to it because he doesn’t cry just takes a while to settle.

I feel like if I get him out t will disturb him trying to get to sleep.

But it sort of feels neglectful as well!

I’m so confused !

Congratulations on returning home with your baby! Your start sounds a little rough and the first few weeks really are tough anyway, so no wonder you're questioning things. Thanks

Babies make loads of noise, even in their sleep (it's really surprising how much noise something so small can make!) Personally I'd say that if yours isn't crying or in distress leave them to settle. However, there's nothing wrong with holding them close, especially when they're so young. That's what they want in the fourth trimester.

Go with your instincts, but go easy on yourself too. You're doing a great job.

Thanks. I’m in bed with my tele on because my epist thingy cut hurts just waiting for him to wake up for next feed.

I feel like I’m meant to hold him but he’s so calm asleep!

Make the most of it and look after yourself! It's rare they stay this well behaved Grin

Congratulations Flowers

I have a very very noisy sleeper (3 weeks old). I wondered the same thing... he grizzles loudly in his sleep and I wonder if I should be doing something but he’s not awake or crying! I leave him until his grizzles take on a different pitch, which is when I know he wants feeding.
Congratulations!

Noisy sleep is really typical at that age. If you want a snuggle by all means have one, but if he is content sleeping alone you don’t have to disturb him. In all likelihood he will go through patches of wanting to be held more when he’s a little older, 3 months is notoriously the “don’t put me down!” Stage
