Why has my great sleeper suddenly become a rubbish sleeper?!

DC3 is almost 8 months old. She's been an amazing sleeper since birth and started going through the night reliably (7pm till 7am or thereabouts) from about 11 weeks old. We've only had a few nights really where shes been a bit off colour or something where she's woken in the night.

That was until about 10 days ago. She's suddenly started waking at about midnight, then about 2.30-3pm and then at about 5.30. After waking waking at 5.30 she sometimes will or sometimes won't go back to sleep. I'l admit I've been absolutely spoilt by her being so good previously that I am now on my knees after about 10 nights of it. I don't get it...what's changed? She's a good eater and has 3 decent meals a day as well as milk (breastfed). She is starting to naturally reduce the amount of milk she has but still has about 4 feeds a day and feeds well before bed. She isn't showing any obvious signs of teething but I guess it's a possibility at her age. When she wakes I feed her and she goes back to sleep generally. For info, she's still in our room as when we move her out she'll be sharing a room with her sister. We were planning to do that after Christmas but first she was poorly and then these broken nights started so she's still with us. She also has CMPA but that seems under control and not causing her problems at the mo. We haven't had any slip ups and her skin is good.

Can anyone offer any insight as to why she suddenly seems so unsettled?

Just to add, we often bring her into bed with us after the 2.30am waking as I can't be bothered to keep getting up and down! Aside from the CMPA, she's very healthy and thriving and good weight gain. She's on the 91st centile.

Is she cold? That's what woke mine up when they were babies.

Possibly. Our bedroom is in the loft and it does get a bit chilly sometimes. She sleeps with a longsleeved bodysuit, babygrow and sleeping bag thing, with a blanket on top. Her hands sometimes but not always feel a little cold. Is she too young for a little duvet?

8-10 month sleep regression

Is that really a thing? I don’t remember it with my other two but there’s a bit of an age gap.

So I’ve been putting another clothing layer and another extra blanket on her and it hasn’t made any difference. She’s not cold. She does now have a rashy and dribble chin so maybe teething is playing a part.

Last night was awful. She woke at 11.30pm, 2.30am, 5am and started the day at 6am. I feel like a zombie.

Mine is six months. Previously a good sleeper waking once once between 10pm and 6/7am. Now he wakes up pretty much every hour. He has been doing this for 8 weeks. However, we think it is teething. He wasn’t showing any signs of it but yesterday he cut his first tooth. Last night I gave him calpol at 10pm and he slept till 6am for the first time in months. Feel really guilty as poor wee guy must have been teething for ages and we didn’t notice. Just tried the same thing again. Hopefully it works.

Yes the 8-10 month sleep regression is definitely a thing, we have just about came out of it with my DS!! It was TOUGH! They go through a big developmental leap as well which causes night wakings.
Just try to keep the same routine in place and try not to introduce any new sleep aids. It will pass.
