Help with 3 yo - early riser

Hi ladies, hope I'm posting this in the right place.

Looking for some advice please. So, my nearly 3 yo son has suddenly started waking up in the night. It's been happening for a week or so now but most nights he's talked to himself happily for a few hours and then gone back off. This morning however, he decided that 3:30am was his get up time!

Anyone else had this? Please tell me they grow out of it. I've put it down to a growth spurt or something as other than a cold / cough (which he hasn't had the whole time) he's fine, playing, eating well and generally happy. I'm nearly 38 weeks pregnant so could do with some sleep at some point lol.

Any ideas? Thanks xxx

you could try the gro clock. you set a wake up time, and it has a blue moon and stars which disappear one by one until wake up time. when it is time to wake up, the yellow sun appears. tell him that he isnt allowed to get up until the sun is on his clock, sometimes kids just don't realise how early it is! all the best x

We did buy one but think he might be a bit young to understand just now. To be fair, he doesn't actually get out of his bed, I just have no idea how he's gone from a solid 7-6 kind of kid to waking so much?

He's had a 20 min kip today since 3:30am - I don't know how he does it! (Although he's not usually up quite this early).

Thanks for your reply x
