Hello,

Just wondering if anyone in the same situation.

My DD goes to bed between 7/7.30 every day goes down without an issue. Has two naps a day, however wakes every night after 8/9hours sleep so ends up being between 3/4.

I still feed her back to sleep which I probably shouldn't now but it ends up taking longer to settle her if I don't give her a bottle. She usually has her bottle and then goes back to sleep to 7.30.

The HV suggested that I stop this and go cold turkey without the night feeds and she should stop waking after about a week.

She's just going to scream the house down if I do this haha any thoughts?

Thank you

What order do you do bedtime in? I was in the same situation and was feeding my son to sleep for the night and when he woke in the night. We swapped bedtime around so now I feed before he does pjs and story etc and he goes in the cot awake. Took him a while to sleep the first night but he slept through till 6 and now sleeps through with no feeds consistently.

Sounds pretty good for the age!

So your baby wakes up once because they are hungry, you feed them and they go back to sleep happily? That sounds pretty good to me! Waking up once is fab. If your tired maybe you should try to get more rest in the early evening?

Sounds completely normal to me - I would just keep doing the night feeds.

One night feed isn't too terrible at this age though I would certainly want to drop it if possible!

Does she feed to sleep at bedtime? I'd try to brush teeth after her last bottle so she falls asleep without feeding.

You could try just reducing the night feed by an oz a night rather than cold turkey. Or gradually water it down until you are only offering water in the night.

Not too bad, surely
