Heyyy 1st time mum here. My son is 14 weeks old this week and has been in his own room and cot since 7 weeks old (he stopped fitting in his Moses basket,he is very long) we have had a very good routine any time after 6 he goes up for a bath then has a bottle in his room and a story then he goes into his cot and usually goes to sleep occasionally we have to go back in to put a dummy back in but on the hole he is really good but since his last lot of jabs he is a nightmare at bed time. The routine has stayed exactly the same but he has just started being really unsettled when we leave, after about 30/40 mins of running up and down to him he goes off to sleep but not sure what's changed. Could this be the start of the sleep regression? Or is he just being fussy? TIA x

Hi I've been in exactly the same position with my 4 month old dd. We'd got into a great rountine, but then she got a cold and started teething. We had a bad week or so, but stuck with the routine and slowly got back to normal. I'm quite strict and don't take her out of her room when she stirs. Don't worry it won't last forever, just keep doing what you doing 😊

My 20 week old has a very similar routine to you and always has, she's a really good sleeper but we had about a month where she started getting up at 9.30pm for a feed and then again at half 2, then up at 4 for the day. I was concerned something had changed and it would be long term but we stuck at it and thankfully she's back to normal sleeping through and we've also introduced self soothing recently (no crying it out, just putting her down when she's drowsy and letting her go off on her own) on advise from the hv and it's worked great.
The only thing I'd suggest is just sticking at your routine. We've never put her in our bed, got up and downstairs or whatever if she's stayed awake, we've stuck it out and it's worked. I'm very much on the side of routine is key and if you give in once then chances are it will keep happening!
Good luck 😊
