Screaming pre nap

Hi All, paranoid parent just wanted to see if this is normal...my 8month old screams and screams when I put her down for a nap. She settles within 5mins usually and sleeps well but when I put her down she really screams and waves arms and kicks legs. Is this normal? My first never did this, unless very overtired, but I think I'm getting the timing right as she naps well and sleeps well at bedtime. She doesn't always do it at bedtime but always for naps and the scale of it is getting worse, louder and more movement with it. Just wondered if other mums have little ones that do this or does it sound like I'm doing something wrong? If it continues for more than 5mins then I go in and calm her before trying again but as I said quite often she settles within 5mins. Thanks

Mine did same 7-12 months every nap! I tried nap routine and diff times none of it worked! He just stopped one day overnight! It used to distress me and I felt terrible but it was about 2-3 mins and he would then sleep soundly for hours! He now sings himself to sleep instead which is lovely!

Thanks @Cream123 oh I really hope she starts the singing to sleep soon, that would be adorable! The screaming is awful, it tears at my heart ☹️. But like you said it is only for a few mins and then she usually calms down so I have to just block it out. Reassuring to know others do it too, thank you x
