On repeat, daily, from 4am, to a soundtrack of screaming with added physical theatre (kicking, thrashing, pointing at the window or door) from my 18month old.
We're downstairs now 'reading' as staying in his room just results in 2 hours of hysterics.
Me and DP take the night shift in turn so as not to die of tiredness, but to be honest we're close anyway.
How do you/did you deal with this?
I've no idea what to do anymore!

Hi OP. Following...you're not alone. I'm having this on and off with my DD at the moment. I think it could be the colder weather as after two 4am wake ups she slept until later the next day when I put a blanket over her. But this morning it was back to a 5am start. I'm trying to stick to her routine as much as I can...nap @11am and 3pm, breakfast not before 7-7:30am, bedtime at 7:30pm. It's no fun when they wake up for the day so early.

Just popping on to say we had the same problem but we needed to drop DD's first (power) nap to solve the problem. She'll be 18 months in just under two weeks. However, we spent a weekend close to home with both naps in her cot to help her catch up on sleep because she was so overtired, it was making everything worse. In short, we made up the sleep deficit and then went with the new nap plan. I'm with PPs who suggest catch up sleep is needed. Good luck! Hope things are going better now Smile
