Not sure of the correct spelling but I have been told by lots of Irish relatives that doze all which is similar to calpol is brilliant.
But I cannot find any info on the web and forgot to ask for correct spelling.

Does anyone know this product as my parents are still over there so I'd love to get them to bring me some back if its really good.

hello, I'm not Irish but I remember my HV telling me about this. I think it's called Dozol. I bought it once but could never find it in the shops here again. Medised is apparently similar and is the only thing that helped my DD2 when she was teething. I think it's paracetamol with an antihistamine, so it knocks them out, so obviously only to be used in emergencies!
Hope you find some!

My Irish cousins rave about Dozol and Teedex. Apparantly they are both suspended paracetemol (like Calpol) but also contain an anti-hystemine which helps the child sleep. An independent chemist near my Mum in Essex sells it, but you can also get it online here

Yes - dozol is recommended and some smaller local chemists stock it. (They all do in NI)! Medised does the same job though - and mine prefer the strawberry flavour. Dozol has a rather weird caramelly type flavour. Both knock my kids right out though - in fact we used medised on 7.5mth old ds2 this am - had been crying for two hours on and off and we finally gave in , having bf him, given him breakfast at 6.45am, changed him etc, we decided it might be teeth (though we can't see anything there yet),and it worked a treat. He was asleep within minutes for the next three hours - bliss!
