Hi. My lo is 9 weeks amd im the last week has started going to bed between 7 and 8. In the day he is generally taking about 4oz every 2-3 hours but quite often throws up alot of it. Not painfully just it seems alot. We had 8 week jabs Tuesday so could it be this?At night he is all over the place feed wise. The othr day he slept 8-3.30 fed then slept till 7 the nxt day he did 8-12 then fed then bk down the woke at 3 fed then bk down till 7. Last night we trued a dream feed at 11 then he woke at 2 then bk down till 4.30 then a vety small feed that was hardly worth it then awake at 6.20. I no hes still little but does anyone no how to keep the food down in the day and how to help his routine at night. Should we feed or just leave it and chance getting woken up an hr after i go to bed. Thanks x

Have you looked into whether he has reflux? Did he throw up after milk before he had the jabs?

Holding him upright after feeds may help.

As for the routine, I'm no expert but would try both suggestions for a few nights each and see which works best. Every baby is different.

He has always thrown up a bit but seems a bit worse in last week. He is taking more so dunno if thats why hes throwing up. If it is reflux would he not scream in pain?

What formula do you use? Try the anti reflux one if you haven't already. That helped our LO.

We use cow and gate. Did it help keep it down? X

Sorry Snow, I'm not sure. My DD was quite sicky but I didn't change anything because it didn't seem to upset her, so I guess you could be right.

I thought of something that might help with routine - I read somewhere that it takes 3 nights for something to work, so choose a dream feed (or not) and stick with it for 3 nights or more to get a better idea of if it works or not. I'm still trying strategies to get my DD to sleep through and I'm 10 months in 🙄 hence the early morning reply. Hence why I'm probably not the best for advice on sleep!

@SnowWhite26 we use the cow and gate anti reflux one. He usually manages to keep it down, get occasional sicky spit. He is sometimes a bit sick but I think that's when he's tired or hot etc. When I mentioned to the dr she said to use the comfort formula, which we already were!

Hi my DD used to be sick a lot. She is bf so I don't know if there's a difference in behaviour. We ruled out reflux etc as she wasn't upset or in pain. My health visitor said it was probably due to her stomach muscles not being strong enough to hold all the milk down. They get stronger over time. It was very frustrating at the time because I'd get her all cleaned up and then have to start again. She's 13 weeks now and has pretty much grown out of it. As long as he's gaining weight and not in pain try not to worry. It will get better x
