Blanket vs Grobag

My 9 month old has always slept in a Grobag just as my older daughter does. But she's a really active sleeper and gets it all twisted around her and then it wakes her as she's restricted. So I'd like to try blankets instead. But as I've always used bags I've no idea where to start with using a blanket. Do I just tuck it in at the bottom of the bed and hope for the best? Or do I not need to do that now she's older. Those who successful use blankets, what's your setup?

I have only used blankets with mine. I use a cot blanket the type with small holes in. Because it's a big blanket she is almost always covered. I don't tuck the blanket in at all

Thank you. I do have a large holey one

We use blankets - just loose. We layer up the cellular, fleece if needed and sheet. We’ve never tucked it in (he doesn’t fall asleep in cot so we lower him in and pop blankets over!). He does fidget a bit but they usually cover him enough. He wears a vest and sleepsuit to bed in winter too. Gro egg have a handy guide for blanket users as to how many to use depending on temp. www.berceaumagique.com/support/pdf/3669/%5Bthe_gro_company%5D_notice_gro_egg.pdf

You can get sort of Grobags but with legs so they're more like a Grosuit. Might help with the tangling? A friend's DD uses them because she's an active sleeper and loses blankets in the night waking up cold, but gets frustrated in a Grobags. Example here: www.slumbersac.co.uk/baby-sleeping-bags-with-feet/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgbTC1qCJ3gIVw7HtCh3qWgUxEAAYAiAAEgKV3PD_BwE but there are heaps of different makes.
