Baby only naps in my arms

My 5 month has decided to only nap in the day either in my arms or in her pram. I'm happy to let her nap this way but concerned about what will happen when she goes to nursery in January. Is it a phase? Will she grow out of it? Any advice on getting her to nap in her cot? She sleeps fine in there at night. Thanks

im not sure if this would work (never tried it) but could you try getting her to nap in a sling, and when she is good at that, try swaddling her and placing her in her cot? you could also try putting one of these in the cot for nap time link

My DS did this from birth until about 7 months ish. I couldnt get him to lay anywhere whether awake or fast asleep. As soon as I tried to transfer him he would bolt awake screaming. One day he just decided it was OK and started sleeping in his cot. Now hes a year old and point blank refuses to sleep on me unless ill so I would just enjoy the cuddles and some box sets....

Thanks guys that's reassuring. I tried her with a sling and she hated it. I may try swaddling and if it doesn't work
Just enjoy the cuddles and worry about it closer to January time. I'm so Nervous about how she will be with the staff who don't know all her little quirks, I hope she settles. In reality it's probably me over thinking and getting Mum guilt for putting her in nursery when I go back to work ConfusedSad
