10 month waking 3-4 times a night

DS has never been a brilliant sleeper, has never slept through. We were down to 1 or occasionally 2 wakings a night by co-sleeping - this was bearable. However, even co-sleeping isn't working anymore and he is waking 3/4 times a night and getting up between 4-5am. He goes down at 6:30ish them wakes for a bottle around 10:30-11, then again around 1,3 and 4 - sometimes he won't go back to sleep at 4, and others he may sleep for another 40 mins or so and then he up for the day. He seems hungry? We've tried pushing his bedtime back, makes no difference - just more cranky the next day. He usually has 2 naps a day - one around 8 which is usually either 40mins - 1.5hrs, and then he sake again in the afternoon around 1pm.

DH tries to settle him at night but he won't have any of it. Refuses to go in his cot now too (my fault for bringing him into the bed I guess).

Has anyone tried any of the 'softer' sleep training methods like no cry or an age appropriate pick up put down? And how does this work if he's waking though hunger? We started weaning at 6 months and he was eating like a champ, but he's become fairly fussy after an upset tummy a month or so ago and isn't eating anywhere near as many solids as he was.

I'm just back at work and totally frazzled. I've suffered with anxiety/depression in the past and with this exhaustion and the stress of work I can feel it creeping back in, so really need to do something about this or a least improve the situation...

Any advice welcome

I think I gave water in the bottle for a few nights and he soon got the message and broke the habitual waking

I have been thinking of trying this... I just wasn't sure he'd go back to sleep after water, but I should try it. I think the later bottles could be swapped for water so maybe I'll start with those!

Try a bit of porridge last thing as well to keep fuller for longer. In fact just try to up solids as much as poss during the day!
