She sleeps very 2 hours roughly but for less than an hour. Wakes up at 6:30ish so getting appx 1.5 hours of sleep in the day but I'm sure her little developing brain needs more.

How can I help her to sleep longer?

I think this is normal because a sleep cycle is about that long I think. DD is 15 weeks and has always been like this, it's rare she sleeps for longer. Like you I have no idea how to fix it. The only time she will have an hour or two in a row is if she's constantly being moved so like on a long car journey, constantly moving in the pram or Baby Bjorn.

Eek! It's so frustrating for her because she's tired again so quickly. Sod's law, she's been asleep for over an hour and still snoozing happily...

Cheese Haha, I find that sometimes happens when I've got visitors round and I'm complaining about how she never naps for longer than half an hour and then she will magically make a liar of me and sleep for an hour and a half Hmm. But that is very rare. I know what you mean about being overtired - sometimes she sleeps for say 30 mins, gets up and whinges for 30 mins then cries for 30 mins and I'm thinking, you can't possibly be hungry it's way too early for a feed but then I get anxious thinking well what if she is? Warm up a bottle, she drinks like 1oz and whinges so I put her dummy in and bam 5 minutes later she's asleep again. So really she should have just slept that entire time instead of waking up grumpy and overtired! It is really frustrating but I can't see how it can be improved although like I said she does get a good nap if I go on a long walk or drive so that's one tool to get a good nap in for her, but then it's not very useful for us as can't get housework done or have a rest when you're out!
