Panic attacks at night

Anyone else suffer from panic attacks? My doctor recently reduced my anti anxiety meds (she suspects they are causing my seizures) and I've been feeling on the edge of a severe depressive episode ever since.

I studied tonight until 00.40am and fell asleep soon after. Woke up terrified at 2am and had to go and sit in the bathroom to calm down. I fell asleep again afterwards but my boyfriend got angry when I accidentally clicked on my phone sleepily and woke him up with a loud YouTube video. I just wanted to cry. Haven't slept since and I'm feeling so sick and panicky.

I'm scared that my attacks will come back badly like before due to the med decrease. I literally end up hyperventilating and throwing up I fear.Sad

Breath and relax!

Don't stress... theres things in life we can't control.
Keep taking your meds, have hot baths and relaxing music (no scrolling through social media)
Take time for you!!

It's so easy to get worked up these days! Life is more than stressful.

What's upsetting you the most.
I suffered from anxiety attacks for over a year..... it's the worst and it makes you feel like there is no way out from your own mind.

There is. X

@Poppy1989 Wow, this was such a lovely message of support to wake up to! Thank you. I agree, taking a nice bath and staying off social media helps so much!

I'm just so worried about all my coursework and money, it's a nightmare.

I've just had a haircut (which I really couldn't afford but really needed for myself!) and feel fresher after that.

I'm sorry to hear you've suffered with anxiety attacks too, it's great to speak to people who know the fear and how you feel in those moments! My boyfriend tends to just disregard it and tell me too 'calm down'Sad

Have a lovely day xxx

@adoggymama
Ohhh my love.......
Iv heard the "calm down" 1000 times. The... "don't think about it" or " dont be silly your fine" the rolls of people eyes when you tell them how you feel....
If only it was that simple to stop it hey!🙄

You need to be good to yourself, so a hair cut is well deserved. Do more kind things.

Please remember that money is just paper, and your health and happiness is worth so much more.
When you feel like your going to panic, force yourself to smile and tell yourself that your not scared and you can you push through.

I always found sometimes I couldn't stop my attacks and the more I tried to fight them, the worse I would feel. I could feel try heart try and beat faster and my hands start to shake.... take one massive big sharp breath when you feel like this.... HOLD IT.....and then blow all the BAD out!!

Us women... are stronger than we give ourselves credit for. Keep pushing forward.... you've got this!!! Xx
