Waking up crying in the night

My daughter is almost 13 months old. She was doing really well sleeping through the night. She was sometimes crying a bit before she went off to sleep but would drop off after 5/10 mins.

over the last few weeks she has been waking up in the night crying but will usually go back to sleep after a few minutes. However she has woken up a few times crying and just won't settle back to sleep. I've been in and calmed her down and she will settle down but then as soon as I leave the room she starts up again. Then I have ended up with her in the spare bed with me and she will be wide awake for a good 1-2 hours crawling all over me before she eventually falls asleep and I can try and get some sleep too.

The night before last I put her down to sleep and she cried so much and wouldn't go off I had to get her up and she didn't go back to sleep until two hours later than normal. She has never done that.

Any one else had this experience? Is this just a phase? Her sleep pattern seems to be so up and down at the moment. As we speak she has just started crying for no apparent reason. It really puts me on edge. I'm at work all day and feel like I really need a good nights sleep to get through the day.

Could she be teething? Or a developmental leap?
My dd is 14 months and generally gets bad like this when teething unfortunately

I wondered about her teeth and the nursery think they may be coming through. She still doesn't have any yet. Is it normal for her to be quite happy and then just kick off at night?

What’s your daily routine at the moment?
