baby sleep consultants/baby sleep programmes - any luck?

Has anyone hired a baby sleep consultant and had success?
Or has anyone ever paid and downloaded the baby sleep programmes that you can buy online? If so - where from?

My LO is 16 weeks old now and I'm desperate to get her to nap in her own cot (and not on me) and self settle

Thanks in advance

Yes I worked with an amazing sleep consultant - Carol at Carol Mae Consulting. She’s really good with breastfed babies, feeding issues, reflux, all sorts. She is very expensive but gets results.
A cheaper option is Little Ones on Facebook which is a virtual service. Good in setting a routine but obviously not tailored to individual babies.

Thanks, have you bought the Little Ones programme yourself? What kind of help is in it?

No experience but I will definitely pay for a consultation if we hit bumps down the line.
Some of the online consultations are very reasonably priced these days.
Don't understand why more people don't? Many people I know are on good salaries and tie themselves in knots over the lack of sleep, but have never tried to seek advice. Seems madness to me. (I would understand if on v low income £200 may be beyond reach but these people earn more than I do, and some experts charge less than that anyway).

I had a maternity nurse helping me during first few weeks with DD and her advice on sleep and getting the baby into the routine was amazing. DD has learnt to love her sleep and her cot from very early on. My maternity nurse normally gets booked months in advance. I was lucky to get her to work with me.

I think some parents naturally assume they know all about their babies and struggle to accept guidance from a stranger. I have heard a thousand times I should "just throw away all baby books and simply follow my instincts". However I found that advice from someone who has worked with a lot of babies can be invaluable.

I bought the Little Ones programme for newborns (I think you have to buy a separate one for each age). They give you a pdf with a massive amount of information which tbh I couldn't read in my sleep deprived state. However, they give a very precise hour by hour routine to follow which tells you when you wake baby, when to let them nap etc. Trying to follow it at the moment and it makes a lot of sense
