My dd has been not a pick of bother since the day she was born. Even cut in her first 2 teeth without so much as cry (absolute angel). I've never really had a problem with her sleep. Even as a new born she only ever woke up once. She's been being kissed good night put down in her cot and left with her bottle and dummy since about 7 month (now 12 and a half month) I think she might be going through a little bit of separation anxiety at the min, and hates it when I leave the room on a night time. I'm all for CC, when it's the I don't want to go to sleep and Im going to be naughty kind of crying but I can hear her heart break when I leave the room which in turn breaks mine..
I don't understand because nothing has changed in her routine, other than me going back to work but that was in April and it's only been happening since she turned 1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Babies go through phases of separation anxiety and it's very common for previous good sleepers to have tricky phases.

I personally would avoid controlled crying at this stage. There are gentler sleep training methods to go through first that don't leave baby so upset so they are easier for everyone. If you Google gentle sleep training you'll get some ideas.

Don't despair. Choose your method and be consistent.

My DD is 15m and I've started putting a book in the cot with her. It provides a distraction until she settles herself to sleep.
