10 week old won't settle in moses/cot

Hi, I am a FTM new to mumsnet, i am having problems getting my 10 week old DD to settle. She generally settles well in her moses basket at the start of the night she goes down between 7-9 and stays asleep till anywhere between 1-4 wakes for a feed (EBF) and then trying to get her back into the moses basket is a nightmare we end up co-sleeping. OH is in spare room but i miss him in bed! DD will settle within 5 minutes after finishing feed in bed with me however trying to get her back to sleep in her moses basket can take 1 hour plus and even then she will rarely stay asleep an hour. With me she will fall straight back to sleep (5 mins) and stay there for 3/4 hours. I have tried swaddling, not swaddling, rocking, not rocking, white noise, no noise, ssshh-ing, patting, my t-shirt, used breast pad. Absolutely nothing works she just flails around kicking her legs, grunting/ snoring throwing her arms around, gets out of swaddles even swaddleme blanket just don't know what I can do? Thanks in advance x

Hiya

Have you heard of a Poddle pod?

UK small business and it's easier for you to see the website for what I'm gonna try and explain.

It's a weight activated hammock pillow that simulates a baby being held- they are suppliers to UK hospitals for Neonatal etc and award winning.

They fit in most cribs/cots/Moses baskets etc

A good few people i know have them and we tried one at the Baby show and liked it.

Our 5 day old wee man just started doing this and I'm out of coffee lol

Our boy didn’t like getting returned to cot either. Different reason for him, reflux, but putting down approach may apply. After he’s fed I used to have to keep him upright on me for 20mins. This led him to fall into a deeper sleep. Then we just got really good at lowering him gently so the transition didn’t wake him - we stand at the end of the cot and lower feet then bum then head. You could try keeping her a touch longer then going for the lower? We used to have to prewarm the cot too, so he didn’t go from warm to cold.

Another option might be a sleepyhead or the cheaper alternative of rolled towels underneath the sheet so that your baby feels more enclosed without swaddling.

Your baby is still really young and still in the forth trimester (give it a google). This behaviour most likely won't last for much longer and if she goes down okay at the beginning of the night then she can do it and should get there eventually.

@reetgood

The rolled towels etc are not the firm surface recommended for SIDS prevention.
