Co-sleeping and bottle feeding

Is this safe?

LO is 7.5 months old and was EBF until 6 months. However, when his teeth appeared he kept biting me and despite my best efforts we couldn't get past it and I reluctantly stopped BF'ing... expressed for a while, but supply diminished so DS is now FF. Anyhow... DS always starts the night in his cot (which is in our bedroom). He usually wakes for a feed around 3 or 4am, but I find he won't settle in his cot after this feed and got into the habit of bringing him in with me. I started doing this around 4 months and have continued to do so since stopping BF'ing. While I was BF'ing I was very always very aware of his movements and I would wake easily... however since stopping BF'ing there have been a couple of occasions where LO has moved and it's not woken me, to the point I actually woke with his feet in my face this morning 😱 which I guess is because we aren't quite so 'in sync' now that he's FF. I follow all the co-sleeping safety guidelines. In addition to this his cot is flush against our bed and I sleep in a C shape around him cutting off the end of the bed with my legs.

So my question is, is it safe to continue having him in the bed? I would like to keep on co-sleeping in the morning as we both get more sleep, plus I am quite keen on AP and feel this is an important part of our bonding (he seems to love sleeping next to me). What do people think? X

After 6 months I would say this is absolutely fine - as he’ll be much bigger and more able to roll around etc now x
