Newborn Sleeping Options for Daytime

Hello,

My newborn (3 weeks old) currently sleeps in a Moses basket during the day, she's nearly 11lbs and is taller than the average 3 week old so she's out growing her Moses basket quickly!

I don't really want to put her in her cot during the day as I'm downstairs so my question is, is it okay for her to sleep in a bouncer type chair? I'm using a Hauck Sit n Relax currently - link below.

I found this "Hauck Sit 'n' Relax Multi-dots Highchair", while browsing the Argos Mobile app:

We ditched the Moses basket early with DS1 as he outgrew things quickly. He hated napping without being held so I held him for most naps. When he finally started napping on his own, he just went up into the cot.

I had no choice but to put DS2 up to nap in the cot from 6 weeks because he kept getting disturbed by his brother. I set up the baby monitor so I could keep watch on him.

No. Can you use your pram bassinet instead?

I had this problem as I had a large baby. He just sleeps on the sofa next to me now.

Pram? Ds was ok floor on a blanket as long as dog and ds1 away. Confused

I used a bouncer for naps from around 8 weeks I think. When they're too young they're a bit too floppy to use the chair.

I'm the same as a previous PP, and just let the baby nap on me in the first couple of months.

What about a pop up travel cot in the corner ? They can be folded up when not in use and are fairly cheap to buy new. Moses baskets are such a waste of time and space imo

Thanks for the advice everyone, I will buy a small cot for downstairs to be safe.

Didn't think to use a travel cot, I actually have one already in the wardrobe from when my nieces stay over!
