Teething help!!

Please help! This is my first time posting. I need all your ideas, remedies, wives tales. Anything that might help my teething lo. He is 13 months old and has been hands in mouth, dribbly and cranky for weeks now! I think he is getting his molars! His sleep is terrible and he wakes screaming at night for several hours at a time. He also really resists being put down to sleep at the beginning of the night too. We are all exhausted! And it doesn’t help having just returned to work around a month ago! We’ve tried giving Calpol and Nurofen and ambesol (which he hates) but nothing seems to help! He seems to be in pain worst at night and is then very tired all day. Can anyone offer any advice? I’m really struggling and starting to feel nervousness and dread as it gets closer to the evening - it’s so hard to keep going without sleep and then see him in pain at the same time! 😢

Have you tried teething crystal? You can also get chew toys that you put in the freezer which will help numb the gums?

@Beads38 - are you me? 🤣

Exactly the same issues. Almost feels like separation anxiety too! Trying to ride it out in a chair next to the cot, but it's not easy!

Thanks @RedPill what’s a teething crystal? Can’t find much info. I’ve ordered an amber anklet and another teething toy.

However, good news we seem to be having a period of respite...although no teeth yet so trying not to get too used to it! 😂

@glasshalfsomething I’ve recently started humming loudly and rhythmically at bedtime just like when he was a newborn and for some reason this really calms him down. I hope your little one has a bit of a break soon too 😊. It’s nice to know that you’re not alone, especially in middle of night!

I always think that you would have thought that as a species we could have evolved to find a less painful way for teeth to come through 😂😂
