I know I'm really sad here but I keep my thermometer inside my babies pram when we're out for the day so I know what the temperature is when she sleeps, the sids guidance has me worried sick, being a ftm. She's 14 weeks old so right in the middle of the 3-4 month peak of the majority of cases of sids occurring.
We're down at the coast and when we booked it was mid - late teens in estimated temperature, now we're here and it's 23/24 degrees.
We're out today and I've parked up somewhere shaded and with her pram fan on and she's fallen asleep, only problem is the temperature of her cot is 27 degrees and now I'm freaking out.
Can anyone give me any advice at all please?xxSad

Just think about how folks cope in much hotter lands. Your baby will be fine.

Don’t put anything over the pram like a muslin or blanket as that can make it even hotter, keep her in the shade, dress her appropriately maybe even strip right down to the nappy, and extra feeds so she stays hydrated. That’s all you can do, if it’s hot it’s hot. And if it helps you feel resssured, people have babies in much hotter places than 27 Celsius. No need to panic, perhaps keep the thermometer for medical situations if it’s causing you to stress.

Thank you ladies, you did absolutely reassure me. Think I need to lock away the thermometer, it does have me far too paranoid.x
