18 month sleep regression

Anyone have an 18 month old who has suddenly decided they don't want or need to sleep at night? My we girl has always been a great sleeper - usually 8.30 through to 7.30 am but this past week that has totally changed! She won't go to her cot at all! Even tried her in bed with us but that's no good either. She will eventually fall asleep, usually on the sofa, but it's not till at least 12 or after it then she is up again about 4/5am. Some nights she is running a temperature but the ibuprofen just seems to make her more lively. I'm starting to really struggle on 4/5 hours sleep 😴😴 just wandering has anyone else had the same problem and if so how long it lasted for?

Yep. DD went from falling asleep within 15 minutes to taking about an hour. Still taking an hour 2 months on (I'm typing this lying on the floor beside her cot...) She's waking up early (before 6.30am) more often than previously too - although not daily. No advice I'm afraid! Maybe someone can tell us what I did wrong when this started and you can avoid our fate!

Yes, it lasted from 16 months until almost 20 months. He would go back to normal for a week or two and then start waking early or resisting naps. The one thing is that I stuck with our routine no matter what. If he didn't settle, I held him for a bit in his room and we read extra books. I just took longer for his bedtime routine. Then I would turn the lights out except his nightlight and would hold him in my arms for a bit and walk back and forth. It seemed to calm him that I took an hour for his bedtime routine rather than the usual 30 min.
