Baby sleeping on one side

Hi everyone
I need some advice from more experienced mums: my Dd (5.5months)started to roll and she sleeps only on her tummy now with the head towards left.
I am trying to move her whenever she sleeps but she fights, cries, wrigles to be left in the same position.
I have to leave her be otherwise she will scream .
Is this a period ? Will she move by herself? I am afraid that she will develop flat head on left side.

Have you ever seen an adult with a flat head on one side?

Tummy sleeping isn’t a cause for concern as long as you continue to put her down on her back and she’s rolling over herself. She’ll probably wriggle around herself overnight too. Neither of you will get any sleep if you stay up all night and keep rolling her back so just leave her to it.

I’ve seen plenty adults with a flat occiput on one side...

I would say it’s much less of an issue at her age and if she is a tummy sleeper. Flat heads only really an issue if baby sleeps on back with head to one side. (As it’s the occipital bone where head joins neck that flattens)

If you want to encourage equal time both sides which is still a good idea then try turning the cot or putting her head at other end-she may be turning towards you/light/other stimulation.

If you notice she is reluctant to turn her head the other way when awake (can check with noisy toy/speaking either side) then might be worth getting her checked for any neck tension by a Chiro/Osteo.
