I have 2 girls, age 2 and 4. Eldest has been sleeping great since 2yrs, when 2nd was born. Before that we did controlled.crying sleep training with her as it had been bad on and off up to 2. Controlled crying was really effective with her, she responded quickly and now she is a great sleeper...
2nd one...not so much!! We have tried sleep training but she DOES NOT GIVE UP!!! after 2 hours of screaming I just give in. Currently, I am holding her while she falls asleep, putting her in cot, then when she wakes (around 11pm) she comes into spare room with me. I haven't slept with my husband all night for months!!
DH puts eldest to bed while I go through this process with youngest, but recently she has been keen to stay in eldest's room for stories etc and I wondered whether she might be happier sleeping in there? Does anyone have any experience of this? We always planned for them to share a room, but obviously I had hoped to sort sleep out first...now I'm wondering if it might help?! Or am I just clutching at straws?! Help!!
