Cows milk and sleep

Hi

I’ve just moved my 12 mth old onto cows milk for his bedtime feed. He’s been fine with it during the day. But the last two nights, when i’ve Given him it at bed, he’s woken up at 2.00 wanting milk. I really wanted to get him off formula for going on holiday in a week’s time. Is this just a coincidence or does cows milk just not fill them up the same? He’s usually a good sleeper and eats plenty of food during the day.

Also, if I have to take formula on the plane, would it be majorly dodgy to measure out into bags the amount we need to take, rather than a whole heavy box?!

Thanks for any advice!

Can't comment on the Cows milk as my son slept straight through with it. But regarding the milk on a Plane: we took the ready made cartons with us and put the tub of milk in the suitcase! Smile

Hi. Thanks. I’m worried about the weight of the tub in the suitcase! We only need 9 portions for the 9 bedtime feeds. Taking a whole tub seems excessive given the weight

You don't have to take the full tub if your checking your bag. I'd use a small container

I’d just take a small plastic container of formula (if you end up taking it). But take more than 9 portions if that’s how many you need!

Yes, i think that needs to be the plan. Just worried a tub of white powder might look suspicious!

Anyone else had night waking when moving onto cows milk?

I gave him formula last night and he still woke up at 1.30! So not sure if that was just habit from previous nights. Or if all the waking has nothing to do with cows milk!
