Has anyone used the sleep programmes from Little Ones? And if so, has it worked?

I have with my twins. We started when they were 6 weeks old, they are now 16 weeks. It worked brilliantly for us until just recently, but I think we are hitting the 4 months sleep regression as having a lot of resistance, especially at nap times. And around 4am...

But I only use it as a guide, I don't follow it to a tee. For example if I feel the twins need an hour of sleep instead of the suggested 45mins, I'll give them an hour. But the programme definitely has helped and I personally find having a routine easier than going with the flow, especially with two babies.

That's good to know. I was unsure about paying for something but I have a 6 month old that wakes every 2 hrs, and I'm so desperate for some sleep!!!!!

I found it useful. Not a magic bullet but it has some useful background information explaining issues, the routines helped me focus more on awake times etc and there are several settling methods to choose from so you don’t have to do anything your not comfortable with. The guides will probably tell you that 2hr wakes are a settling issue and (assuming your baby isn’t already doing it) advise that you teach your baby to self settle so he/she can link their sleep cycles by themselves.

@Lemondrop99 you're probably right, as he doesn't fall asleep himself either, he has to fall asleep on my chest and then transfer him to his cot. But he also feeds every 2 hours too, so I also worry he's hungry as I'm not producing enough milk

@Lemondrop99 does it show you how to teach then to self settle? DS is awake for the 10th time tonight so I'm sure that's the problem

It gives you advice on how to settle them in ways other than feeding but they are not different than any other advice you could find on here or online from other sources. Their main idea is that a baby if a baby is put down for a nap at the right time and is relaxed then they have a better chance of settling themselves. They really focus on awake times and a feeding/nap routine. IMO it’s not worth it, I purchased it one night in a sleep deprived state and regretted it. Babies are all different and a one size fits all programme won’t be suitable for everyone.

Also, although hard, feeding 2 hourly at this stage is not unusual and a definitely not a sign you aren’t producing enough milk. As long as baby is producing enough wet/dirty nappies and weight gain is steady there’s no issues. There is a massive growth spurt around 6 months.
