Moving baby into own room

I just wondered what everyone’s opinions were about moving baby into their own cot in room. My son is 14 weeks old & quite happy in his next2you crib he still wakes twice in the night for feeds! But a lot of my friends say that it gets harder to put them in their own room as they get older? But then I’ve been told you should wait till they are 6 months old. Advice anyone ???

Mine both moved at 8 months with no issues

Only twice
That'd be a dream for me....

SIDS prevention states in same room as you for all sleep til 6mo

He's 9 mo now and while he's put down in his cot, he's very rarely there all night after a succession of colds, many more than 2 feeds, teething etc and just the fct that I get more sleep if I'm not listening for the monitor because he's beside me

Wev just moved our DD into her own room at 5months as she was outgrowing her next2me and rolling but I am sleeping on the floor in her room! We were putting her in her big cot for naps for a good couple of weeks before moving her in at night and she has settled great and loves it. I know people who have moved their dc earlier and later and all seem to have adjusted well, you just have to do what is right for your baby.

Mine outgrew his Next 2 Me at 4.5 months. We were lucky enough to have enough space to put up his big cot so he’s been sleeping in that in our room. I think it will help as he’ll have some consistency when’s he moves into his own room in 2 weeks (when he hits 6 months).
