Clock change - hyper baby

LO is 9 months old and since the clock change, he will NOT go to sleep. We follow the same routine we always have which works fine until now. Not he's deciding to crawl about the cot instead of sleep!

Any tips to help with this other than attempt to make the room darker? 😂

I doubt it’s the clock change it’s probably a coincidence. Is he learning something new like standing? Has he got teeth coming? Months 8-11 in general are quite rocky due to the amount of development things happening.

We have a 9 month old and bedtime is an absolute shit show at the moment. We do half an hour of quiet time in the bedroom now before starting the bedtime routine to limit noisy toys / telly / him getting riled up by the cat (who he just has to see to get all excited!). It still ends in tears though before he will settle down. Hoping it's just a phase!

We went through a really bad phase at 8 months. We've got over that and I'm hoping that's the end of it. I'm HOPING it is because it's lighter at bedtime

I know I'm struggling to adjust, still not tired til nearly the old bedtime. I'm sure your LO will adjust soon.

Maybe try making it dark in your house half an hour or so prior to bedtime? When DS was a baby we made sure that we closed curtains etc for that period before bed. When we went from light in the house to dark in the bedroom it seemed to mess with his little baby mind! No guarantees at all, but might be worth a try if you don’t already. Good luck!
