I'm setting up my 5.5 month old DD's room, ready for the transition from sleeping in our room as per SIDS guidance (next2me).
Just wondering whether blackouts are really a must-have, or if they just result in a child that can only sleep in a pitch black room.
For what it's worth, she is no 'unicorn baby' that sleeps like a dream. She has been having split nights and hourly (last night 30 minute) wakings and all sorts, despite her being able to self settle at the start of the night.
I think I've just answered my own question with the above paragraph, as obviously I want the best chance of a decent nights sleep possible right now... but I'm still interested in knowing your thoughts/experiences with this!
