Blackout shade for travel cot for holiday

Just wondered if anyone had purchased a shade or has a novel idea to blackout DS travel cot when on hol? We are going away soon for some sun but the light through the window at home really bothers him so we will need to create dark space but cant use blinds on window as we have no idea of size. Obviously needs to be breathable!!

Magic Blackout works well and can be cut to fit - it's not very pretty and wouldn't be a permanent solution, but would be fine for a holiday. You used to be able to get it in Rymans too, but I'm not sure you still can.

Or blutack tin foil up at the windows.

Gro blind is adjustable for different window sizes. It has generally worked for us

I was about to say the gro blind. Found that really handy

Ok thanks. I guess i hoped for a cot thing so the rest of the room will be lightish but maybe that's just wierd anyway Confused

I wouldn’t try to blackout the cot because whatever you put on it will make it less breathable.
Bring your sleepyhead so he feels more comfy and then a groblind is good or tinfoil is 100% blackout if you want to go that route.

(I meant groblind or tinfoil for the window of course, not the cot. Or the baby Grin)

Thank you!!

Before you think too much about it, maybe check with your holiday accommodation first. The European holidays I've been on with my family have often had wooden shutters on the windows - so absolutely pitch black in bedrooms.

We are on holiday now. DD is in her cot napping as I type. Bright sunshine outside but I have to switch the light on to see anything when the blinds are shut. Completely blacked out even in the daytime.

If not, tin foil on the windows is the simplest answer.
