3/4 days into nap changes

Hi, we are on day 4 of battling to get my usually brilliant 13 month boy to nap.

He was doing - 10-11 hours at night
9.30-10 first nap, usually the longest, about 1-1.5 hours (always has been)
2.30 2nd nap usually about 45 mins to 1 hour

Last 4 days he’s been messing about chucking his dummy’s out then crying, we’ve gone in, retrieved the dummy, laid him down etc morning time he does eventually sleep, afternoon is hit and miss,

He’s actually slept both times today after one dummy incident this morning and tears this afternoon.

Is it a phase or is he maybe showing signs of a nap transition? Sometimes at nursery they only manage to get him down for 1 at around 10.30-11 time. He is sometimes very tired by bed time but touch wood does sleep through.
Any advice much appreciated

I've just gone through that with my baby! So disrupted through the day & early rises. I tried everything & it seemed he was teething/going through a leap. He's 15 months & has gone back to rising later & sleeping for much longer through the day. Sure it's just another phase to get through...! X

I would say a phase aswell, my dd is slightly longer but went through the exact same thing, throwing comforter out, crying, afternoon nap became a real struggle.

After the phase passed we now only let her nap for 1 hour max in the morning (this was always her longest nap too). So she naps 9-10 (is up no later than 1015, so if it takes her 30 mins to go off then she will only have a 45 min nap etc). Then down for nap again at 130 until no later than 3. Bed at 645.

The crying/comforter throwing lasted about a week or so.

We moved to one nap (just after lunch) at 14 months because of similar signs. Sounds like he might be ready to move to 1 nap. The first week was a bit all over the place, but we stuck with it and then she settled into the new routine, usually falling asleep relatively quickly and taking a nap of 1.5 to 2 hours.
