Hi,
First time user of Mnet.
I have a 2months DD and she had been co-sleeping with me and DH since birth. She refused point blank to sleep in her crib. She is ebf and night time is so easy to feed her in bed. Now my DH wants her out of our bed😒.
Could ,please advise if any of you had done this at this age and are the side-bed cots any good?(ex. Chicco Next to me)?
Thank you

WE just took the side off a normal Mothercare cot and pushed it against the side of the bed. The cot was up against a wall and we pushed the bed against it so there was no way to slip. We put a rolled up towel down the middle so no gap.

We use a side cot OP. Called a babylo cozi sleeper (cheaper than next to me but just as good). I put DS in this about 8 weeks old as he just wouldn't go in his moses basket. i feed DS and then plop him in that. Works OK for us although he will soon outgrow it. Took may be a week for him to get used to it.

Can i ask others who will respond what you do when the baby can roll/crawl....do i need a bed guard for the bottom of the bed incase DS comes out of the cot when we are downstairs or something (or am I over thinking this??) We may move cotbed into our room..

We had a bedside cot, it was good once Ds started rolling as it meant there was no way he could roll off the side of the bed. He didn't actually sleep in it though.

I would try your dd in the bedside cot but if she doesn't like it, it might be easier for your dh to sleep somewhere else for a few months.

We still co sleep with DD2. When she could crawl and move round more I put her in between me and DH. By 10 months she could confidently slide off the bed and have a wander around the room when she woke.

I know a lot of people are against co sleeping, but she was also very clingy as. Newborn and has never really changed much. She’s confident when playing and interacting with strangers, but at night she’s nestled in next to us.
