The last month we've regressed to constant night feeds and wriggliness and crying with teething. Please help me come up with a better routine for my 6 month old DD - I got 2 hours sleep last night. She's EBF.
Yesterday looked like this:-
08.30 wake up (in our bed, I brought her in about 2am as she was constantly crying in her room)
08.45 nappy change, get dressed, play on bedroom floor while I get ready
09.30 play together, sing songs, read a book etc.
10.30 feed in our bed, nap
11.15 wake up, cuddle in bed
11.30 go downstairs, I have some cheese and crackers and she has some cracker
12.00 watch some kids TV on netflix while sat in high chair with toys and snacks (rusk, cheese, bread)
12.40 jumperoo while I do some housework
13.00 take upstairs for nappy change, calpol (for teething), play with toys briefly
13.15 put down for nap
16.30 wake up from nap (unusual that she sleeps so long but her naps are all over the place)
17.00 play downstairs
17.30 evening 'meal' - big bowl of pureed veg
18.00 DP home so she has cuddles with dad and plays with him for a bit
18.30 feed and play
20.30 DP does bedtime - nappy change, calpol and teething gel, into sleepsuit and sleeping bag, story, rocked to sleep then placed in cot
21.00 wakes up, cries, feed back to sleep
21.30 wakes up again, DP rocks back to sleep
01.40 wakes up screaming, feed, cuddle, rock back to sleep, placed down, wakes up immediately, hide down side of cot with hand on her chest, cries, feed again, repeat process - no luck
03.45 give up and take her into our bed where she feeds on and off for the remainder of the night, cries and whimpers constantly, scratches my chest and I don't get a wink of sleep. Got up properly at 10am today.
Please help. Sorry this is so long but I just don't know what to do, there's so much conflicting information online! Be nice to me, I've not done this before.
I'm thinking maybe:-
- 3 shorter naps instead of 2
- earlier bedtime
- snacks throughout the day instead of a couple of bits and one 'meal' later in the evening
For reference she won't take a dummy, is a complete bottle and formula refuser (that's why DP does bedtime as I do all the night feeds).
