How to help my DD sleep through the night

Hi ladies, my DD is 3 months old. On a typical night I put her to bed at 9pm, she wakes between 2am-4am for her first feed. Then wakes again around 6am then again at around 9am.

Is there anything I can do to help her sleep right through the night? I'm a first time Mam so any advice would be appropriated.** I know it can take a long time for a child to sleep right through but I was just wondering if I could help her in anyway?

Thank you!

At this age? No, not really! She's actually sleeping very well for a 3 month old I would have thought, with only 1 waking between 9-6. At this age the vast majority of babies will be waking for a night feed, often 2-3 times, she needs the sustenance.

Seriously, that's amazing for any baby under 1 and i'd kill for that

Not at 3 months, no. My DS is 13months and doesn’t sleep through the night. I’m afraid you have unrealistic expectations

She's waking because at that age the vast majority of babies still need feeding over night. Give it another couple of months and the gap between waking/feeds will increase a bit.

(probably, it hasn't really for me at 6 months!)

Wait until they stop going back to sleep in the night after waking...or when they decide 4am is the best time to start the day! Nothing you can do I'm afraid as at the moment they need the feeds. It's really hard the sleep deprivation at times, so try and
Rest when you can and take each day/night at a time Smile

According to some, she is sttn! 5 consecutive hours, apparently.

The only thing you can really do to encourage is to look at healthy sleep habits but waking as she does is normal and expected.
