I'm very much interested in getting one of them beds for babies that sort of clips onto the side of your own bed.. if that makes any sense. The trouble is I have no idea what I'm searching for and of what I do find they all generally seem to be £100+ which i find ridiculous!!!

Someone please help Sad

Snuzpod is £250 I think but worth every penny for us!

Chicco next to me is great and just search it second hand on eBay or Facebook marketplace. I sold mine for £60 and it was in a great condition.

They're called co sleepers Smile

We had a Snuzpod, but...

With most normal full sized cots, you can take the side off, and also adjust the mattress height to suit your bed. You can either wedge between your bed and the wall, or tether it with cable ties or the like.

Once baby is ready for their own room, just use the same cot. Smile

We have the Chicco next to me but took it off our bed early on as it was difficult wriggling in and out of our bed as I was uncomfortable after the birth, plus the instructions say you shouldn't let baby sleep in it unsupervised with the side down and we wanted to use it for daytime naps. So it's just a standalone cot now. But works fine, and you can raise just one end which is useful for reflux/congestion. Got it from Facebook fur about £100 but you can get them cheaper. We use it with sleepyhead.

We used a baby bay. They are expensive but being all wood they last really well so can be found second hand fairly easily. I didn’t like the idea of one of the cribs made of fabric second hand for my precious first born. I needed something I could wipe down with dettol like the crazy pregnant germaphobe that I was.
