Sleeping changed since weaning

My DD was a good sleeper from 6 weeeks till 5.5 months slept from 10-8. As soon as we started weaning ( she is now on 3 meals a day and 4 5oz bottles) her sleep has been terrible, waking 3-4 times in the night she is now 7 months and getting worse. She isn't hungry just wants to be settled or dummy put back in. When she does wake properly in the night she is inconsolable and the only way to stop her from screaming (not crying) is to give her a small amount of milk I think this is a comfort. Any help would be appreciated TIA

Could be anything really...is she teething? The start of weaning can coincide with the first teeth coming through.

She has but she isn't showing any signs of teeth yet and when she cry's she isn't always fully awake as though she is pain or anything. I was thinking about letting her cry it out??

Maybe just try putting some ambesol liquid on her gums if he is teething. If she doesn’t stop crying when you pick her up, I would say she in maybe in pain as you comforting her is not stopping her from crying. Could be separation anxiety?

You could consider food allergies or digestion issues, since it coincided with weaning. But equally that could be a complete coincidence of timing and nothing to do with weaning.

Daytime sleep habits often change around the 5-9 month range. This is a time when naps get longer and awake times extend. It could be that your baby is over tired from the daytime, causing restless night sleep.

What is your daytime sleep routine?
