Early waking killing me

So my dd has slept though the night since about 6.5 months (now 10 months). Goes to bed happily in her cot awake at 7pm. But she keeps waking up at 5.30 and I just can't seem to do anything about it! This week we have been trying to prepare for the clocks changing by putting her to bed 15 mins later each night, but it's making no difference! She is waking at 5.30 regardless like a little alarm clock. Last night put her to bed at 7.45 and ping awake at 5.30. When she wakes she is happy and smily and chatty. We have been trying to leave her in bed until 6am before we get her in the hope it will make her understand it's early but she just sits in her cot "chatting" to her cuddly toys!
Any advice? I'm worried she'll be up at 4.30 tomorrow with the clocks changing!

OMG, at 10
Months mine are never sleeping through. Count yourself lucky! Just leave her if she’s happy in her cot. My 4yo is up at 6am on the dot

If she's waking like clockwork at the exact same time it's a habit and might be worth googling a technique called "wake to sleep" sounds scary but worked for us xxx

I'd look at the nap times. If your baby is sleeping up to 2 hours from 2pm, that's probably what's doing it. At 10 months, they need less daytime sleep. I'd work at eliminating morning nap and moving to a 12-2.00 nap, then you should get a longer night time stretch. Just a suggestion - I know every baby is different.

I'd put her to bed an hour later and keep the morning nap under an hour. They still need 2 naps a day at that age but a long morning nap can cause early waking.

Thanks for all your suggestions! Just thought I'd update. We have been keeping the morning nap a bit shorter and slightly later and (I don't want to jinx us!) she has slept 7-6.45 the last two days! Thank for everyone's help and long may it continue!

Brilliant going esp with the clock change. Hope it continues for you

Dc1 was an early riser (think 430-530), dc2 needed more sleep. Dc1 still wakes in the night (cat woke me up at 3 and he was sitting with his light on) and early- but he's 8 now, so goes downstairs and watches telly, rather than bouncing in to us and demanding cbeebies.
