Are any bedside cribs breathable?

DS is 9 weeks old and goes down for his first stint of sleep at night in his Moses basket. When he wakes from that, he's in with us for the rest of the night as we find it impossible to get him to settle back into his basket. Long story short; we're considering a bedside crib.

We saw some in mothercare and apart from the mesh side, none of the other 3 sides I've seen on any bedside cribs seem 'breathable'. I even emailed the makers of the one we liked to ask about it and they basically admitted that no, the other 3 sides weren't breathable. I was pretty shocked by this as surely it poses a suffocation risk?!

I was wondering if anyone out there has a bedside crib on which all 4 dudes are breathable, and if so, which one please?

You are over thinking this. There is no danger posed in placing a baby in a crib with solid sides. Hospitals use solid plastic cribs.

Besides, I'd just use your full sized cot instead of buying anything extra. You can remove one side off most cots with just an Allen key and it's all very easy. You then have a full sized cosleeper cot. Just wedge it up to your bed.
