Hi there. You have my sympathy, colic is awful. It is worth checking in with your gp or health visitor to rule out any other conditions such as reflux.

My ds struggled with wind, we used Infacol and tummy massage (I watched some YouTube videos with massage strategies for wind). Also bicycling legs. Gripe water helped a bit, we used a syringe but he resisted, I don't think he liked the taste. "The magic baby hold" seemed to give ds the most relief and usually stopped his crying. I think I got this from a Dr Sears book but is probably on Google images or youtube.

I don't know if this is feasible (perhaps not if you have other children, etc) but I tended to go upstairs to the bedroom and dimmed the lights, sang some songs, rocked ds on the rocking chair, read him stories etc at just before the time of day he would get upset. My baby wasn't especially happy in a sling or the pram, but others I know have found it useful. We found a baby swing helpful for short periods.

If you can, try and get some time to yourself for a hot cup of tea, a bath or nap. You need to take care of you, too.

Good luck. This too shall pass, I promise.

I would suggest a swaddle and a dummy. Also know that baby should mostly be sleeping all of the time at this age. If you get 30 minutes awake in one go that may be enough. Over tired makes crying a lot worse.

Try a bouncy chair (don't swaddle in a bouncy chair though). After a feed put baby into bouncer and be relentless about bouncing with your foot.

Finally - feed feed feed feed.

Make sure you are winding well after e dry feed to. A well fed, swaddled newborn with a dummy should go to slerp easily.
