dreamfeed or wake to feed at 11pm ?

I've been dreamfeeding my 14 wk old for a while, and am now considering actually waking him to feed instead (lights on, etc.). I'm thinking about doing this because when i dreamfeed he takes about two ounces and then falls right back into a deep sleep, so i'm wondering if he'll eat more if fully awake. For what it's worth, he usually also wakes at about 3am for a feed. Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

sorry, haven't any words of wisdom, but it's 11.00 so I thought I'd bump it for you

wouldn't bother - he'll be going through the night before long

There's plenty of people will tell you to go with the dream feed but I woke my two at 10.30, kept them awake for 10mins or so before feeding (only if they were happy to wait of course) and that ensured they fed well at that feed. That had the natural effect of the night feed moving further back.

TBH though, at 14 weeks don't expect to be sleeping through, their tummies simply aren't big enough so unless they do it naturally by themselves don't force it.

Enjoy them while they're little, those night time dreamfeeds are quite special looking back
