I assume sleep regression?

I know this is a tale the world over and I shouldn't really complain but am after some advice!

My dreamy second child has until this week been sleeping 10.30pm until 7am. I know.

But this week (17 weeks old) she has started waking up in the night and won't go back to sleep without a feed. I'd take it on the chin but my older daughter wakes frequently in the night and we're exhausted. The two of them don't even synchronise their wake ups - we could live with that Wink

Any advice to get my dreamy baby sleeps back?

Do you have an alternate settling method that isn't feeding? Dummy and in-cot settlibg for example?

If you do and you are finding these not working in the night, then extra calories needed is youe reason. Try to increase daytime milk intake by making feeds bigger, more frequent and with less distractions. It's not unreasonable to give a full feed every 2h - 7 or 8 feeds in the daytime.

If you do not have an alternate settling method to feeding to sleep, now is the time to introduce one. If not, it will likely end in a route that involves cosleeping and feeding to sleep in bed. I'd suggest trying a dummy in the first instance. Other in-cot settling methods usually involve some crying.

Ok great advice, I'll try and bump up the daytime feeds. Thank you!

I bought a dummy to try and she's quite happy to take it, but crying for a feed even with it in the night. Poor neighbours!
