Hi,
My 16 month has been a great sleeper since 5 months old. 7-7 overnight and two 1.5hour naps.
However last month has been getting worse and worse. Probably reducing to one nap a day but I don't how to do this.

Naps: she will yawn, look sleepy so I put up for her nap but as soon as in cot she cries. I have tried nap later, leaving to cry and cuddling but she just refuses to sleep. Same for afternoon nap. However she will sleep in car/buggy/bike trailer.

Bedtime: Crying, needing extra cuddles, reassurance going to bed. Started waking up over night crying too, getting more frequent.

I also have a 10 week old (won't go into their sleep!!). I'm so knackered and don't know what to do, I so tired I just want us all to sleep and not be crying so much every day???!!!

How can I get my obviously tired 16 month old to nap in her cot again?

Firstly, breathe, you sound so stressed! The eldest maybe just needs to drop the morning nap, that's what I did with both mine when they were about 1, then just go with the afternoon nap, although by 24 months neither of mine napped anymore. Easy for me to say, but it does get easier, mine are now 10 & 13 years old xx

You are right, its been a super stressed day, I need a break I think. Thank God it's Friday so hubby can help tomorrow.
It's just she refused her morning nap so I tried again at 12 and 2 with no success. So zero naps today for her.
I know it will get better, it always does (eventually!).
Sorry

You don't need to apologise!
I have 3 that weren't really nappers and when they did I never put them to bed. Where they fell asleep I left them. The youngest can turn into a demon and fight it like no child I've ever met. I just put a pillow and blanket down for her! Eventually she lies down and goes to sleep

We went through something similar with DS a couple of months ago at the same age. It does pass, although I know that's not much help right now!

I let him drop to one, insisting on two when he was up before 6am, and tricked him by driving round or walking round the block then transferring him once he was asleep.

Glad it's not just my wee one Handbag :-)
