Is a Sleepyhead worth the money?

DS is 6 months, an ok sleeper. He likes to nod off between my legs at night then I bring him into bed later when he wakes. I wonder would a Sleepyhead help him sleep longer as he would feel more enclosed?

(He has 3 decent naps a day, almost all in his pram nice and cosy.)

Make one by putting a pool noodle under the bedsheets. At 6m he will either be too big already or just about to grow out of the sleepyhead, they're not very wide.

Good resale value though so it probably wouldn't cost much overall.

When he was in hospital at 4 weeka they did one out of rolled up towels. He slept well (a lot better than me!) I would be scared of breathing issues with a pool noodle. Apparently the Sleepyhead Grand goes up to 3 years?

YES! We had the deluxe and are now in the grand. Well worth the money and she won't sleep without it!

We used both and they are fab so definitely worth the money in my opinion. My son grew out of the delux by five months and the grande by about 16 months as he liked the space and freedom of not having it in his cot. I'm expecting to use it again when he first goes into a bed

You can get a pillow from Asda (basically a breast feeding pillow) its small and a curved one. Put under the sheets in your little ones crib and pretty much does the same thing. Done this with my dd who is 5 months and never had any issues plus the pillow was only like 9 quid!

DS is 13 weeks and we have one. I like it but only because we co-sleep it seems safer the sleepyhead despite not being officially recommended.

I personally wouldn't bother at 6 months. DS sleeps fine in bassinet and cot - no better in the sleepyhead.

In one word...ABSOLUTELY!!

I wouldn't bother at 6 months. You'll have to buy the bigger one which is mega £££ and baby may not even like it. Plus many babies want to be able to move around as they get bigger.

We have the deluxe for 6m old DS. I wouldn't say it was a miracle cure - it made a terrible sleeper slightly less terrible. It definitely didn't make him sleep longer but he settled in it a lot quicker after being held or having a feed.
We are trying not to buy the one up as they're so big you really can't travel with them and we don't want him to be so reliant on it that he won't sleep anywhere else.

We bought a sleepyhead as my new baby wouldn't settle in her Moses basket she was only 6llb8oz and I thought it might cocoon her a but more.
It didn't really work for us. She wouldn't sleep any longer in it than in the basket in my opinion.
But some people swear by it.
