Hi there. In tears because I feel like I'm getting somewhere then in thrown back 20 steps... hoping someone has been in a similar situation.

My son is one and we finally made the transition to cows milk and had him down to one small 120ml feed a night and was justabout to begin watering that down so I could be done with night feeds. And then... my son has started teething real bad. I realise it's not his fault but it's so frustrating for myself.

He now isn't eating solids during the day, no yogurt , nothing. So I'm giving him more bottles of cow's milk during the day so he doesn't go hungry and now he is waking 2/3 times a night for 180/210ml feed. And will wake up several times winging in pain bless him.

Every nap is a struggle and he wakes up crying. He hates the sugar free calpol and even that's a trek getting it down him. He can taste it in his milk/water/ juice. I've got to force it down him via syringe and fine usually he spits it out anyway .

Someone please tell me this will get better and I'll be able to slowly get him back to normal.

Should I go back to full formula for now? Or just continue cows milk day and formula night? Or should I just stick to cows milk only for any kind of feed.

He managed porridge this morning so very happy but getting him down to sleep is an absolute nightmare.
Also he's pooing a 2/3 times a day and it absolutely stinks, yellow too.... (is this because of teething and it a the extra saliva upsetting his tummy? Or because he's having cows milk with formula in it)

Help.
Send help.

Any suggestions please.

When my DD is teething, we give her nurofen instead of calpol. They taste quite different and is a different colour so it might be easier for your DS to take? Also, liquid anbesol will help when teething is really awful.

I have no idea about the milk my DD is two and still drinks formula but maybe some pain management might help things improve.

Teething is painful. So will obviously have sleepless nights and eating will be not as straightforward.
Pain management is best way forward. I gave my lo baby paracetamol from Sainsbury's own brand and sometimes I gave nurofen. If baby has reflux or stomach issues I would avoid nurofen unless you've spoken to your doc about it.
I started my dd on cows milk at age 2. I know sometimes it can be a little heavy to tolerate. Imo you should contact your hv regarding this. They can be really useful for this sort of things.
It does get better with time try not to stress so much.

Why not try the regular calpol rather than the sugar free one? If it makes life easier
