My little one is 10 weeks old and we have just moved back abroad where it is currently 31 degrees inside the apartment day and night. I've been reading up on clothing at night etc and how to keep her hydrated but I cant find anything really clear. I've read if she's totally breastfed she doesn't need water however I do give her one formula feed on an evening.. would you give her water?
I put her to sleep solely in a vest the first night and she wouldn't settle at all until she was sleeping in only a nappy.
Day time I'm keeping her indoors and breastfeeding on demand but she's very clammy and sweaty to the point it's affecting her skin.
Any advice please???

When it was warm here my little one was just sleeping in a nappy. I also had a fan on in the room, but not directed towards her. I think given that she's mostly breastfed, I don't think you should be giving any water. Have you tried holding her in a muslin? Keeps them from getting stuck to you and all sweaty.

You have my sympathies OP - it's the same here (if not hotter)

Given the extreme heat, a small drink of water might help - she will get dehydrated very quickly. Be very careful with the teat that the water doesn't come too quickly - get the slowest flow you can find

Yy to a fan to help keep the air moving. As a general rule, open the window if the air is cooler outside than in the room, otherwise keep it closed. I find sleeping under a thin cotton sheet cooler than having nothing over me
