Could she be scared of being alone in the dark?

My children slept with a lamp on at that age. Not just a night light, a proper lamp. My 13 year old still sleeps with her overhead light on, dimmed diwn down on the dimmer switch. She's always been an insecure sleeper though.

Before bed or during the night - long wind down before bed, warm shower, warm milky drink, reading by torch light, chat about nice things, drawing things by her bedside for writing or creative stuff. Sometimes getting things down on paper helps because mine can then let go of what's in their head

Sorry I thought I was starting another thread about eating. 😆 I'm so tired.
Answer to your question is she goes to bed no problem but can't sleep through night so just lays there occasionally getting up.

I basically need to be more consistent. I do a lot of these things but am not consistent. Thank you friend. 😊

Eating or sleeping? Or both?

No issues with being fearful. She lost her Nona my Mother a little over a year ago. That has affected her a lot. Thank you all. She's resting so I'm going to try and sleep 😴 now.

Both. Most likely related.

Is she worrying when she wakes up? Or is something waking her up?

Cherrytart6 · 28/08/2017 09:46

Probably don't worry about the food as it will fall into place when she's feeling happier

Can you read to her a lot at bedtime so that her mind is somewhere nice.

insancerre · 28/08/2017 09:47

Does she get plenty of fresh air and exercise during the day? This can he!p sleep

Does she use screens before bed, as they have a detrimental effect on sleeping
